Another Place

Dorothy Livingston 6/01/1948 – 22/11/2024

Another Place is both a celebration and a farewell. It gathers works from the collection of a private individual whose passion for art, and whose friendship with the gallery, spanned more than twenty-five years. Her passing in December 2024 left a profound absence, yet her spirit endures in the art she cherished and the relationships she nurtured.

This exhibition is the first in a series drawn from her extensive collection, a body of work that reflects a lifetime of looking, questioning, and finding joy in creativity. Each chapter will open a new window onto her journey as a collector, offering us glimpses of the vision and curiosity that shaped her life.

We begin with Kurt Jackson, an artist whose deep conversation with the natural world spoke directly to her. His works—rich with memory, light, and the presence of place—were among her most treasured.

Through Another Place, these pieces now travel onward, carrying echoes of her eye and her heart, reminding us that art, like friendship, can transcend time and dwell in many places at once.
