Winter Exhibition 2016

Group Exhibition
10th December to 4th February, 2017
We are delighted to announce this years annual Winter Exhibition 2016. This year sees an exciting eclectic mix of works in a variety of mediums which has been curated by LSG's director Marie Louise Jones.

The show hangs in our beautiful Gallery Three and features work by gallery artists, Nicola Bealing, Neil Canning, Amelia Humber, Sophie Marsham, Rosie Musgrave, Donald Provan, Ann Ross, Glen Scouller, Ronald Smith, Kieran Stiles & Elsa Taylor to name but a few. Our Winter Exhibition offers a wonderful opportunity to showcase our existing artists but also creates the perfect opportunity to introduce our new gallery artist Richard Fox.

Richard creates his sculptures with balance and form in mind.  They can be rotated by hand which enables a physical and emotional interaction with each piece. The sculptures offer new experiences when viewed from different perspectives. It is whilst Richard contemplates these varying viewpoints, curves, twists and lines that inspiration for new work often emerges – in this sense one piece will often feed into another which continues the feeling of flow and movement within Richards work. Richard lives and works in Oxford where he began to hone his form of sculpture in 2005 after being inspired by a visit to the Barbara Hepworth museum, St Ives. He works in bronze, stone and British native hardwoods, Sycamore being a favourite. Richard’s work has been exhibited and selling both nationally and internationally since 2008.

2017 is yet another busy year for us. Our exhibitions will showcase emerging talent alongside our established artists so please don’t forget to keep an eye on our website and other online platforms. We are also gearing up for another busy London Art Fair which we hope some of you will come and support us at. We are busy preparing Withiel our sister Sculpture Gardens heading into the New Year which with a Group Exhibition opening on the 15th May by Appointment only.

Lastly don’t forget to renew your Tate membership or better still it makes a great gift, especially for that someone who has everything…we all have one of them…very annoying!
