Lemon Street Gallery welcomes in winter with a fabulous eclectic array of works in a variety of mediums from our gallery artists, old and new, alongside our customary selection of contemporary jewellery, including the introduction of Kastur Jewels.
All ethically sourced and made, Kastur Jewels even runs a humanitarian initiative programme which is at the heart of the brand. Founder, Rajvi Vora has worked directly with International humanitarian development programmes for over 8 years across the globe from the Horn of Africa to Afghanistan, meaning Rajvi personally manages the humanitarian initiatives so that she can research and oversee its direct impact.
The primary inspiration is Historical Royal India dating back to the 11th century. Indeed some of our highly skilled artisan’s ancestors were craftsmen for the Royal households; the Maharajah and Maharanis (Kings and Queens) of the time. Fixated by the fairy tale, glamorous and opulent lifestyles that thrived during these times, history is a fundamental part of each Kastur jewel. Old designs are researched, drawn and tweaked to give them a fashionable contemporary touch that can be worn by the modern woman of substance.
A collection of Kastur Jewels can be seen alongside the following artists at our Winter Exhibition which is open Saturday 8 December – Saturday 26 January 2019. Contact the gallery for further details.
